Project Details

BC Blueberry Council represents one of British Columbia’s most successful agricultural industries, supporting growers while promoting BC blueberries to consumers and markets around the world. With more than $1 billion in sales over the past five years, the council plays a key role in connecting local producers, wholesale and processing partners, and the public—strengthening awareness, access, and demand for BC blueberries at every level.

The Challenge

The BC Blueberry Council needed a single digital platform that could speak to very different audiences at once. Consumers were looking for recipes, nutrition information, and where to buy locally, while growers, wholesalers, and industry partners needed credible, up-to-date information about production, trade, and the broader blueberry economy. The challenge was to balance consumer appeal with industry depth—without fragmenting the experience.

The Approach

We designed and built a Drupal-based website structured around clear audience pathways. Content strategy and UX focused on separating consumer-facing content (recipes, promotions, health benefits, and local purchasing) from industry and trade information (wholesale, processed products, and grower resources), while maintaining a cohesive visual system that reinforced BC blueberries as a world-class product.

The Outcome

The new website connects consumers, growers, and industry partners through a clear, accessible, and scalable platform. It strengthens the visibility of BC blueberries globally, supports local and wholesale purchasing, and reinforces British Columbia’s position as the world’s leading blueberry-growing region—helping an industry with over $1 billion in sales continue to grow and compete internationally.
